Breanna Pizzuto (she/her)
Registered Psychotherapist
Born and raised in Ottawa, I have undergraduate degrees from the University of Ottawa in Health Sciences and Psychology. I have over a decade of experience working various jobs in the healthcare and social services field, including addictions, supportive housing and crisis intervention. With a strong passion for helping others and an interest in breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide, I started Talk Tools Training in 2018 where I teach workshops about mental health, active communication, suicide intervention, psychological safety in the workplace, and sustainable self-care.
I graduated with my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology in April of 2023 and I am now a Registered Psychotherapist practising in Ontario. I am supervised by Sara Warren, RP.
After my own experience with burnout, I sought therapy as a client for the first time. Through this experience, I realized how powerful it can be to have an empathic person alongside me for the journey. I know how hard it can be to overcome internalized stigma and reach out for help, especially if you are a helper yourself. I work hard to make this process as easy as possible for my clients.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Bernese Mountain Dog Bowser, scuba diving, reading, travelling, and connecting with friends and family.
